Lincoln...one-year-young

Lincoln was born on March 2nd last year. March 2nd is Dr. Suess' birthday, and his mom is a teacher so it was obvious we needed to incorporate the infamous striped red and white hat. Lincoln was interested in everything except me and the camera. He just did his own thing! We ended the session back at their home for a smash the cake session. He thought it was pretty funny to take off the candle and poke the cake, but he refused to eat or smash it, so we helped him out. He gagged on the cake and was furious when his mom sat him in it. I think Chewy, their dog, was a fan of the smash the cake session. We had so much fun that I needed a nap afterwards!

Becca's Beautiful Bump

Becca and Chris are good friends of mine that are expecting their first child around March 6th. I am so excited to find out if it is a boy or girl. I think it is a girl! They are going to be amazing parents. Since my classroom is across the hall from Becca's I have had the joy of watching her belly grow. She has the perfectly round belly.

Ryan and Avery

My friends Karisa and Mike have 2 adorable kids, Avery (2) and Ryan (6 months). Avery is a mini Karisa and Ryan is identical to his daddy. We did some Valentines shots so Karisa could send out Valentines cards. I was also very excited to try out the tub which was an estate sale find. I love estate sales!! 

Dannie and Sean....engaged!

My friends, Danielle and Sean, got engaged a few weeks ago after almost 15 years of dating! Wow! They are so perfect for each other and love each other so much. I was honored that they asked me to do their engagement photos. We started the session at a park near their home so their dog, Rex, could be in a few shots. Brrr! It was so chilly! Great shots though! Then we went to the Walker, out to lunch, Mill City Museum and finally the Guthrie. This was not Sean's cup of tea but he took our orders and hung in there. It was such a fun day. So happy for you both! Out of the hundreds of photos here are a few of my favorites.

Teigan Lin

Little Miss Teigan arrived early because of her momma's flu. Melissa and Kyle (see maternity session from October) are amazing people full of faith and love. I am so blessed to know such loving people. I met Teigan when she was about 1 month on New Year's Eve day and saw both mom and dad resembled in her sweetness.
